Will you be adding RGBW or RGBWW/RGBCCT to the GLORB?
We are currently exploring the application of RGBW for the GLORB. If it happens, it will be at an additional cost though. Keep in mind due to engineering constraints that come with the GLORB’s size, having RGBW will not change the functionality significantly.

Will there be an adaptor to hardwire instead of using USB-C?
We know this would make a lot of people’s lives easier, and we are currently exploring having an adapter supplied as an add-on accessory for the GLORB. If it happens, it will be at an additional cost though.

Why pay shipping after the Kickstarter campaign? (A comprehensive answer)
Before explaining our decision to charge for shipping after the campaign, I’d like to remind you that our Kickstarter clearly states:
“Shipping is not included in your pledge, as we need your shipping address to calculate the cost. After the campaign ends, we will send you a survey to get your shipping details, where you can pay for the shipping. The below estimates are for single packs, and we will do our best to get reduced shipping rates for larger purchases.”
Our current shipping survey, live until the end of August, offers reduced shipping for multiple GLORBs and free shipping for those who purchased four or more units. In Update #6 on May 3rd, we also mentioned:
“In the next few weeks, we will email you (…) where you can log in and manage your pledge to GLORB, (…) and paying the remaining balance (shipping costs + any chosen upgrades).”
It is important to read the entire project scroll before backing. We clearly stated that shipping would be charged later via a survey, not during Kickstarter. We never claimed free shipping. Many Kickstarter projects charge for shipping afterward, and we were advised to do so. More information can be found here: https://www.backerkit.com/blog/should-you-charge-for-shipping-after-your-kickstarter-campaign/
There are several reasons for this approach. Being our first campaign, we needed time to find the best logistics partners to ensure fast and reliable delivery. Rushing to sign with any company could jeopardize our deadlines and product quality.
Statistics show that only 32% of campaigns deliver on time, and delays often result in compromised product attributes (Jensen & Özkil, 2018). In the same research, nearly 43% of campaigns are delayed by over 12 months, and among the 69 that delivered, 30 had no issues with functionality or quality. We decided to allow worldwide sales to gauge interest, complicating things due to varying import duties and sales tax regulations. Some countries require tax brokerage, which 3PL partners don’t provide, leading to higher shipping costs. Different strategies have different costs. For example, sending products to the US with De Minimis status (below $800) avoids taxes but is slower and costlier. Alternatively, using a US fulfillment center is quicker and better for returns but incurs sales tax and duties. Globally, De Minimis limits are lower than the GLORB’s price or non-existent. We’ll absorb all import duties and sales tax (including VAT in the EU) for a heavily discounted product. Charging upfront for shipping would cost about $60 per unit, unlike the $32 you’re paying now with discounts for multiple units. ____
We are committed to making this product an example of quality and customer service. Refunds are accepted anytime before you receive the product, with the warranty policy applying afterward. We aimed to be clear about shipping costs, which are listed on our Kickstarter scroll. I hope this explanation is comprehensive, and I apologize if the shipping costs were unexpected. If you stick around, we hope you enjoy your GLORB and find the journey worthwhile!💡❤️

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
